Although I might have a creative mind...when it comes to real-world application of said creativity...I sometimes miss the mark. This is my attempt of a solar panel on my gingerbread house.

Cool house anyway. :) Too bad you don't know how to spin sugar (I don't either, aside from what I have watched on food network!). You could have made a clearish window looking pane, then lined it with black icing, very small tip, for the grids.
Now I wish I had done a house this year! Last big one I did was a farm, complete with john deere tracter, ducks, and a lake. I don't remember how I did the lake but it came out shiny and watery looking!
